Lighter // Stronger
We chose to use ethically produced kangaroo leather as it is sustainable to the local environment, as well as being one of the strongest leathers in the world - 10 times the strength of cowhide and is 50% stronger than goatskin.
It’s thinner and lighter as well - we make tough kangaroo leather wallets with skin that’s barely 1mm thick (cowhide is usually 1.4 to 2mm).
Protection // Durability
Kangaroo leather products can endure high-stress wear, are resistant to abrasion and have UV protective properties.
This uniquely Australian leather is used throughout our product range to provide for toughest protection and highest durability.
As unique as its owner
Kangaroo leather has noticeable grain. In an effort to survive Australia’s harsh environment, kangaroos have developed unique characteristics - the scratches and scarring found on our products naturally occur on a wild kangaroo.
Our products develop a patina quickly and darken faster than other leather products.
Keeping tradition
Local and family owned
Full-grain veg-tanned kangaroo leather is sourced from local family-run tanneries in Sydney and Victoria. Both tanneries use traditional tanning techniques and one has been in operation for over 100 years (since 1883)
